TOMCO2 Company History

 

TOMCO2 has become a global leader in the CO2 equipment marketplace by consistently offering the highest quality, state of the art products and services to every customer.

TOMCO2 Equipment Company has been manufacturing quality, dependable CO2 equipment since 1970. We continue to explore new designs and methods to offer the world the best in CO2 equipment.  TOMCO2's chronology with our accomplishments:

1970

  • Carbonic Industries Corporation purchased Tomco2 Equipment Company.
  • TOMCO2 Equipment Company manufactured first CO2 Tank.
  • TOMCO2manufactured mastic, urethane insulated CO2 storage units.
  • TOMCO2 became active in the Compressed Gas Association.

1978

  • TOMCO2 manufactured first ASME Pressure Vessel.
  • Water Treatment Division acquired from Ozark-Mahoing.

1979

  • TOMCO2 manufactures dry ice pelletizer and other Special Application Equipment

1984

  • TOMCO2 standardizes aluminum jackets on all CO2 storage units.

1986

  • TOMCO2 introduced Department of Transportation Delivery Units.

1993

  • TOMCO2 introduced CO2 Dry Ice Cleaning.
  • TOMCO2 spun-off as an independent company from Carbonic Industries.

1994

  • TOMCO2 started Parts and Service Department.

1996

  • TOMCO2 standardized stainless steel fittings on all CO2 storage units.
  • TOMCO2 introduced mechanical CO2 pump - CM-35.
  • TOMCO2 patented pH control panel for Pressurized Solution Feed Water Treatment Systems.
  • National Board Pressure Vessel No. 5,000 manufactured

1997

  • Formed FIBA-TOMCO2 joint venture to manufacture vacuum insulated CO2 storage units.

1998

  • FIBA-TOMCO2 introduced CO2 17-ton ISO container.

1999

  • TOMCO2 received license to sell pressure vessels into The People's Republic of China.
  • TOMCO2 has manufactured 9,500 ASME pressure vessels.
  • FIBA- TOMCO2 developed proprietary insulation for vacuum insulated CO2 storage units . . . Fibertek.
2000
  • TOMCO2 received 3rd party approval CE Mark for dry ice making equipment into Europe.

2004

  • March, 2004 TOMCO2 received USDA letter of no objection to install our PM System into poultry plants for on-line processing and pathogen management.

2006

  • June, 2006 TOMCO2 received FM Approval Certification for our newest division, TOMCO2 Fire Systems, to supply low pressure fire suppression systems.

2007

  • October, 2007 TOMCO2 manufactured National Board Pressure Vessel No. 10,000.

2008

  • TOMCO2 became a preferred supplier of General Electric.
  • We increased our production capacity through building expansion
2009
  • TOMCO2 completed building expansion for increased production.

2010

  •  TOMCO2 celebrates 40 years of offering quality products and services.

PM System consists of a liquid carbon dioxide storage system, a hypochlorous acid control building, and a chlorination control building.
2006 - TOMCO2 Equipment adds a new division for Fire Protection. TOMCO2 Fire Systems is an FM Approved company offering low pressure fire suppression systems.
