July Service Tip of the Month
Q. Where can I find my National Board Number on my storage unit or vaporizer?

A: The National Board Number (or NB Number) is located on the vessel name plate. For standard urethane insulated storage units the nameplate can be found below the manway cover. On vaporizers the nameplate is on top of the insulated vaporizer pot. Once you have located the nameplate, you will find the NB number at the top (see picture below).
Q:  How do I locate the nameplate on a 21-ton ISO tank?

A: Nameplate with U Stamp & AB Stamp can be found inside the cabinet welded to the outer jacket of the tank. The original Tomco nameplate is weld to the outside of the inner pressure vessel.
