Mistex® Intermediate Pressure Water Mist Systems are used for machinery spaces, special hazard machinery and combustion turbine enclosures for land applications.The Mistex® Water Mist Fire Protection System has been developed as an alternative to Halons, Carbon Dioxide, and other gaseous fire suppression agents.
Mistex® is an environmentally-safe fire extinguishing system using atomized water mist to achieve fire suppression and extinguishment. Mistex has a zero Ozone Depletion Potential and zero Global Warming Potential and is suitable for land base systems only.
Mistex® is environmentally safe, practical and relatively inexpensive to install and maintain. It operates between 185 psi (12.8 bar) and 250 psi (17.2 bar) pressure and at temperature ranges from 40°F (4°C) is designed to 130°F (54°C). It is an engineered system designed to protect a total flood hazard volume. The system uses 10% of the volume of water compared to a conventional sprinkler system.
