Water Treatment

TOMCO2's Carbon Dioxide based Water Treatment has gained world wide recognition for its efficiency and effectiveness. We offer customized systems for particular needs. Our patented Pressurized Solution Feed System achieves outstanding results.

Where CO2 efficiencies are important and precise pH control is required. TOMCO2's PSF System will fulfill these needs. Our PSF section has complete information on TOMCO2's Pressurized Solution Feed System (United States Patent #5,487,835 and 5,514,264). This is the ultimate pH control system.

Our Direct CO2 Gas Injection System is the traditional pH control method for most water plants. The CO2 gas is injected through a very fine bubble diffusion assembly which is located in a basin with a minimum water depth of 10 feet (3.05 m).

Our IMP-JET System  area supplies complete information on Submerged Combustion Burners for recarbonation in areas of the world where fuel cost are low or carbon dioxide is not available. TOMCO2's IMP-JET Recarbonators are available in both manual and fully automatic models. Capacities available range from 400 to 10,000 pounds of CO2 per day per unit.

Are Mineral Acids and pH Control giving you headaches? If so, in most cases, this section will supply you with the information necessary to easily comply with all the new regulatory changes in pH without the liability of using sulfuric or other mineral acids.

In the Design Data section you can supply us with pH data information and we will supply you a quotation for the system required to correct your pH problems.

pH Control Systems Using CO2

TOMCO2 Equipment Company offers you several Liquid CO2 Water Treatment Systems. These systems are a patented Pathogen Management (PMS) System, Pressurized Solution Feed (PSF) System, Direct CO2 Gas Injection System and a Submerged Combustion System.

In the treatment of potable water or wastewater, a means of lowering the pH may be required. TOMCO2's "LYCARBO" Liquid Carbon Dioxide Recarbonation System is the answer to the problem. Every "LYCARBO" system is designed for a specific application. TOMCO2 will furnish all components of the liquid carbon dioxide recarboration system. In addition, TOMCO2 will assist the customer in determining the size of the system required and assume responsibility for the design, manufacture, check-out and start-up of the system.

TOMCO2's "Total Responsibility" Concept will give the user of "Lycarbo" equipment only one company to call any time assistance is required.

Method of Operation

Liquid carbon dioxide is stored in an insulated storage unit. The storage unit is complete with the equipment necessary to maintain the liquid carbon dioxide around O°F. A vaporizer is generally provided to change the liquid carbon dioxide to a vapor. Liquid carbon dioxide is drawn from the storage unit through the vaporizer and then returned to the tank as a vapor to maintain the storage pressure. Carbon dioxide vapor for process use is withdrawn from the tank and passed through regulators, metering equipment and other accessories depending on the type of feed equipment used. TOMCO2 Recarbonators operate on the principal of producing carbon dioxide (CO2) by burning a gaseous fuel beneath the surface of the water being treated.

Our experts will gladly answer any questions you desire if you contact TOMCO2 Water Technologies , and inquire about the Pathogen Management System, Direct CO2 Gas Injection System, Pressurized Solution Feed (PSF) System and the Submerged Combustion System.
